ABOUT US
Owner and director, Patricia
Kelbaugh, has been teaching for over 30 years. She studied
dance under Jane Prouse and Irene Albert in Baltimore, and
later with the Washington School of Ballet. While continuing
her studies in dance, she earned a degree in Early Childhood
Education and Art at Towson University. Additionally, Ms.
Kelbaugh has trained in both vocal and instrumental music
for many years and has directed choral music for both children
and adult choirs for 20 years.
She has performed in dramatic and musical
productions, including a lead role as singer/dancer in "Brigadoon."
Ms. Kelbaugh also danced at the Lyric Theatre for a season
with the Baltimore Civic Opera Ballet company.
A member of Dance Masters of America, Ms.
Kelbaugh has passed three national examinations in Ballet,
Tap, and Jazz. She is Past President of Chapter 17, Inc.
of Dance Masters of America. For two years, she taught dance
to the visually handicapped at the Maryland School for the
Blind. She presently holds workshops and seminars in Religious
Dance.
For four years, she directed a Liturgical
Dance Troupe in Rockville. For 23 years, she has directed
Liturgical Dance at week-long youth music and arts workshops
sponsored by the Fellowship of United Methodist Musicians.
She teaches beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels
of Ballet, Tap, and Jazz, as well as Competition Classes.
